The Vital Spark
A foraging and fire workshop as part of the Nairn Book and Arts Festival, Saturday 14th September.
A riverside foray celebrating our local woodlands and the food freely available there. We’ll get back to our primitive roots with a fire-lighting skills session, bake some bannock bread and have a freshly made brew over the fire.

We meet at Sanquhar Loch to enjoy and appreciate nature, bringing a mindfulness to experience and using all our senses. Wild foods, wildlife, art and tracks are part of the experience, which is rounded off with foraged delicacies cooked for round a fire for an open air lunch before you go!

Walking for Wellbeing,
Tuesday 10th September, 5:30pm – 7:30pm, Quarrelwood
Join us on a walk to enjoy and appreciate nature, using all our senses. Wild foods and wildlife watching, nature tracking and storytelling, will all be part of the experience, which is rounded off with tea around the fire with a home-made flapjack. Meet at the Brumley Brae car park.
